Common questions
- Is the market data real time?
- No. Market data is approximately 15 minutes delayed and labeled with its freshness. Brokerage connections provide Account Data, not market data. Delayed option snapshots are available only where listed, carry no Greeks, and use indicative marks that are not executable prices.
- Cancel anytime?
- Yes. Plus is month-to-month via Stripe; cancel from your dashboard and paid access continues through the current billing period. Free remains available after the paid period ends.
- What happens to my journal if I downgrade?
- Paid access continues through the period you already paid for. Then your account moves to Free: one constrained MCP connection, your manually authored or imported journal entries, rule overrides, skill settings, and Strategy Scorecard remain. Any brokerage connection is disconnected and broker-derived data is deleted, including reconciled activity, auto-created journal rows, and sync state.
- Do I need a broker?
- No. Free includes the dashboard trade journal, Strategy Scorecard, framework rules, and one active AI-client connection to delayed market data and public research. Plus adds a brokerage connection with periodically synced Account Data and activity reconciliation.
- Is my broker data safe?
- The brokerage connection credential is encrypted at rest, scoped to your user, and used through the connection provider. The connection is read-only: Slatemark cannot place trades, transfer funds, or modify your account.
- Whose data?
- Yours. Journal entries, account profile, rule overrides, and brokerage connection credentials are scoped per user and encrypted at rest with a key unique to this environment. We don't sell your data, train models on it, or use it for anything but serving you. An AI model sees your positions and journal only through the client you connect, at your direction, and only while you authorize it; beyond that, your data is shared only with the processors that run the service, listed in the Privacy Policy.

- What's the Strategy Scorecard?
- A backward-looking view of your own closed trades, grouped by the tags and rules you recorded. It reports win rate with a confidence band, dollar expectancy, total P&L, and holding period. It is free on every plan. Plus adds periodic reconciliation of available brokerage activity. It does not forecast results or recommend trades.
- Do I need API keys for the data vendors?
- No keys to start. Free includes the pooled public-data sources (FRED, EIA, SEC EDGAR, CFTC, and Treasury) within its shared fair-use budget. Plus adds optional FINRA API key access. Premium bring-your-own-key vendors are not part of the current public plans.
- Why isn't everything free?
- Free includes the real MCP core loop with one active AI-client connection, 30 requests a minute for bursts, and the first 2,500 successful tool calls in each rolling 30-day period. Plus adds brokerage Account Data, fill reconciliation, additional client connections, and FINRA. Plus primarily pays for brokerage connectivity, fill backfill, and periodic reconciliation.
